Custom Design for M. Kurth

Initial Sketches

Quarter 4.

With the basis of a "steampunk"-esque and "edgy" description, my partner and I were tasked with designing a logo for M. Kurth's Engineering Club at Westview. A handful of sketches were provided to him, to which he selected the Westview "W" design.

New Logo & Variations

Quarter 4.

The W logo wasn't what he wanted, so we began again by submitting various takes on the "nature" aspect of his suggestions. Quite a few variations of a more electrical style design were introduced, as well as the "creative" ideas. Kurth chose the first style, wanting to include the type as well.

Final Logo

Quarter 4.

A few minor adjustments were taken to improve the quality of the Engineering Club's icon. The plug and subsequently, the wire, were adjusted to mirror that of the point of plug in curved, and gave more negative space between the head and cord. Secondly, the font for the words were replaced with a "technical" themed one.
